Last night my friends slept over at my place (yes slumber party pillow fights wnsah blah blah)
we were 3 girls + moi, 2 girls i like and one w333333333333333333333333333 .

and ten i was like "umm eee"
i went out and twa'9et o 9alet, and whil i was praying i could hear her talk, the walls in my place are extremlly thin u can hear anything, anyhoo kant tegool " mshallah Bal8ees te9li, he mt6awe3ah?"
and then me fee ne9 9lati est'3frallah i was like WTF ??

w33 girl: " la mo ketha bs, *picked up somthing from the floor* ohh mashallah wesh tha?"
me: * 3ash m9areeeeef*" thats a sock, nothing special about a smelly sock"
so then in that way we changed the subject and ana sert mt6aw3ah mashallah 3lay 3shan a9li

On another hand
I sent my dad an e-mail a few days ago
and when i wrote the e-mail, i was like Hey baba o blah blah and so on
and the when he replied he wrote " Dear Balqees"

i have no idea why

Ugh I hate those people. Simply because I pray it's weird. Such a shame what we have become if a simple basic thing as praying we cannot even adhere to.

I don't think she said anything wrong. Although, you shouldn't have asked her if she prayed, praying is a personal choice. It's very uncomfortable to be put on the spot like that, especially when you know that person doesn't pray.

It's nice that you cared, but wouldn't it have been better to ask her privately...instead of putting her on the spot? Islam is such a broad, and diverse religon so yeah anything dealing with God is a personal choice. Mo6awa3 isn't the dude hands out fatwas, that's what they call 3olama2...willa? Anyways, it's not about who is right and who is wrong. You believe praying is important, good for you. Just don't be so quick to assume that it should be a priority in other people's lives as well, Muslim or not.

Sorry to spam your blog Balqees. Islam is really broad, and has many followers. We're not all the same, you have your own relationship with God. That relationship may require you to abstain from many things, and it may require you to pray 5 times a day. That's fine by me, but not all of us follow those rules, no matter how basic you may think they are. I'm not here to have a religous debate, because it gets old really quick...I'm just showing the other side of the coin. You guys shouldn't be so quick to judge, we don't bite...okay that's a lie, we do.
